It is very easy to form a group chat in Messages (iMessages application made by Apple), and organize friends, family, or teams, though the success depends on the compatibility with devices, and settings. Starting a New Group Chat
Open Messages, and press the compose button (pencil icon), then type in a number of contacts or phone numbers/emails.
